Join us for CARDBOARD CREATIONS. Join us for the endless possibilities of creating with cardboard. We will do open-ended projects. Make a mini pinata, a box city with your friends, a mask, and much more. In our Cardboard Creations, we will paint, glue, cut, construct, tape, and more to create all things cardboard. It’s all about the process. Bring your creativity and imagination.

Children love to make books. The students will make several kinds of books in this class: small accordion books, art books that we sew or bind, a book in a box, and more. Your artist can fill their books with drawings, stories, and poems or give beautiful books as gifts.

Join us on Wednesday to finish out the after-school classes before we begin summer camp. We will turn a photograph into a small quilt using embroidery floss, fabrics, and markers. This class meets 3 times.

Animals in Art  - Discover how great artists depicted animals in their work. We will look at Picasso's birds, Klee's cat, and more. This class runs for 10 weeks from 4:00-5:00.

We are thrilled to offer a new class involving social justice and art! In Peace and Art, we will begin to explore art and symbols that represent peace. We will talk about peace, notable people, and look at pieces of art that represent peace. Ages 4-12

THURSDAY afternoons, September 17 through November 19, 1:30 - 2:45 PM. All by Myself is designed for prekindergarten and kindergarten students who are at school for a half-day. This is a wonderful opportunity for more social time with friends. Art activities are designed around a story, song, or theme. Children explore a variety of materials to create their own unique art.  While the students will bring home many beautiful pieces of art, this is a process-based class.

This class is will be taught by long-time teacher Jennifer Ross.

Should it become necessary to stay at home (oh please, please, I don’t want this to happen), I will provide an art kit every week in lieu of our class.

This 10-week class meets for an hour and fifteen minutes. Ages 4-6

Join us and use clay to create beautiful and usable pieces of art while learning hand-building techniques. We will create a clay project each week from pinch and coil pots, a whistle, and more. The clay creations will be fired and glazed.

Pet Parade  - This class celebrates pets, both real and imagined, should you have a cat, dog, fish or pet chickens or wish you had a pet dragon. We will draw our pets, make pet beds, blankets, pillows, food bowls, and more. This class runs for 10 weeks from 4:00-5:00.

For ages 4-12.

We will create a clay project each week and build on what students have learned in the prior class. The clay creations will be fired and glazed. We will not have class on December 27 or January 3.

Hammer Nail and Drill is a class where we use hand tools to drill holes, nail nails and create with wood, yarn and fabric. The children will begin to develop confidence with the hand tools and use them safely. Each child will build a birdhouse or bat house to take home. This class is on Thursday from 4:00- 5:00, for ages 4-12. This class runs for three weeks and begins on December 5.

Create a whimsical papier-mache unicorn to display in your child’s room or house. This is our biggest project in the Big Project Series and take several steps to complete. We will create the unicorn from newspaper, work with papier-mache, paint the unicorn and them add details….eyelashes, necklaces…anything your child can dream up.
