
Fruit Portraits
Join us in the afternoon to draw and paint fruit. Each artist will come home with frame-worthy portraits of fruit. We will work from real fruit to create a beautiful stilllife.
Animation Series Create short digital animations. Make characters from clay or premade figures, develop a story and learn how to use an ipad app to shoot, edit and share your animations. Ages 7 and up. Cost is $120 for the series
Looking for something fun for your artists to do during a school holiday or snow day? Look no further…bring them to Sky Soup Art Center to make art, play, and spend part of the day with their friends. We are happy to offer school holiday and snow day CAMPS. We have many exciting projects designed around a theme. Campers will create one-of-a-kind art pieces. Camp hours are from 9:00-12:00 and/or 1:00-4:00, depending on the date. Most of the time will be spent making art, but we will also have free play time, a story, and a snack. Send your child with a snack and water bottle.

Spend the morning creating a STICKER STORY with stickers. Each artist will begin with a sketchbook and their choice among thousands of stickers. When complete, each story will be unique and colorful!

Spend the morning creating bowls of different types… Warm up with pinch pots, move to miniature bowls from cookie cutters, gorgeous lace-pressed bowls. All of the pots will be fired in the kiln and can be glazed and picked up at a later date.
Sculpt miniature fruit and veggies with clay from fresh produce. These are swoon worthy!

Use beads and glue to create a wearable piece of art. Make a brooch, pin, or magnet to give as a gift, to wear, or attach to your backpack. Artists will take home their one-of-a-kind creations. We have a large assortment of beads to select and create with. Artists may make as many as time allows.
End the school year celebrating friendships. Join us in honoring each other and sharing your friendship through art. We will draw and paint portraits of each other and make friendship bracelets. Join us for a happy time. Bring a friend.

School Holiday Art Camp Look no further for a creative, enriching, and nurturing place to work on various creative projects when there is no school.
Me Pillows—Each artist will create a self-portrait pillow. We will draw on paper first to plan our pillows, then on fabric. The pillows will be sewn, stuffed, and ready to take home at the end of the morning.

Students will create a one-of-a-kind sculpture of their family on a sofa. We will spend the entire class time creating. Students will need to plan to return to the studio to glaze or paint their keepsake once it has been fired. Get a head start on the most memorable handmade gift ever!

Join us at the button factory…spend the morning creating with words, colored papers, and images to make one-of-a-kind button badges. Individual students can go in their own direction with their button creations. If time permits, we will use scrap fabrics to make fabric banners.
Spend Saturday and Sunday designing and building your house. We are bringing this summer camp favorite to a weekend workshop. We meet on Saturday, October 5th and Sunday, October 6th.
Each artist will be given a large wooden house to design and all materials to implement their design. Your artist will first imagine what kind of house it will be….a haunted house, a house for the luckiest pet ever, a castle house, a survival…, whatever you can think of, draw it. We will spend the weekend designing rooms, painting, making wallpaper, furniture, and more. This project is for boys and girls alike.

Use clay to create ceramic cacti garden. Artists can invent their own cactus or create miniature life like models of real cactus. These pieces will be fired and must be picked up several days after the camp.

Join us in marbelizing beautiful paper and fabric. We will turn the marbelized paper into the cover of a sketchbook. At the end of the morning, the kids can take their beautiful marbelized pieces home.

Spend the morning making a few pinch pots to warm up. Then we will make more bowls using lace to create gorgeous textured pieces. All of the pots will be fired in the kiln and can be glazed and picked up at a later date.
Throughout history, people have been fascinated by shoes. Students will spend the morning embellishing a shoe that is designed around a theme that interests them. We will brainstorm ideas, see examples of shoe art and create our own. Students bring a shoe that can be turned into art.

School Holiday Drawing Workshop. We will spend the morning drawing and adding color to a framable piece of art with cray-pas and watercolor paints. The artists can take home their pieces at the end of the workshop.
In addition to drawing, the artists can always paint on the easel, free-draw, play, and read.

Spend the morning creating prints with artist Jessica Eldredge and this unusual printing material. Students will use traditional printing-making tools and colorful inks to create one-of-a-kind prints.
Artists will take home their pieces at the end of the morning.
